When a crime is committed, our police and courts perform their duties. But once a sentence is served, another begins—the one imposed by society. The social stigma faced by ex-convicts often never ends.

Without social acceptance, jobs, or a means of livelihood, many are forced to return to a life of crime. This creates a tragic cycle that undermines the efforts of our entire justice system and society as a whole.

We believe there is a better way. As a progressive society, we have a vital role to play in the reformation and rehabilitation of those who have served their time. We must be willing to say, "Welcome Back."
